Malynn waited in Yangjiang, Guangdong, China. Yangjiang
is known for manufacturing knives, scissors, and many other similar objects. Because it borders the South China Sea, fishing
is also a main source of revenue. Malynn and her orphanage sisters lived through a typhoon during summer 2003.
Yangjiang is located between Macau and the island of Hainan.
